Hotel Casa 400 Amsterdam

This great 3-star Amsterdam hotel originates from a unique idea in the sixties: In summer there was a shortage of hotel rooms in Amsterdam. The same period a lot of students were not in Amsterdam, because universities were closed. So the idea was to combine a hotel with a student accommodation. They did and now, 50 years later, a brand new building has opened in September 2010, with 120 permanent hotel rooms and 170 extra hotel rooms in July, August & September, since then the students will (temporary) leave the building. Don’t worry: all the rooms are the same…

This hotel is located 100 meters from the Amstel river, near Amsterdam Amstel Train Station: a good location to connect with important tourist attractions by public transport. And it has pretty good rates:
